Introduction
Steel grating is a fabricated metal product consisting of bearing bars and cross bars, assembled by electro forging , manual welding, pressure-locking, or riveting. It is widely used in industrial flooring, walkways, platforms, stair treads, drainage covers, and safety barriers due to its high load-bearing capacity, durability, and slip resistance.
Types of Steel Grating
Welded Steel Grating
- Construction: Bearing bars and cross bars are resistance-welded at intersections.
- Features: High strength, economical, uniform appearance.
- Applications: Industrial floors, platforms, catwalks, heavy-duty areas.
Press-Locked (Pressure-Locked) Grating
- Construction: Cross bars are pressed into pre-notched bearing bars.
- Features: Smooth surface, precise tolerances, aesthetic look.
- Applications: Architectural uses, façades, stair treads, commercial buildings.
Riveted Steel Grating
- Construction: Bearing bars are riveted to bent connecting bars.
- Features: Excellent fatigue resistance, suitable for dynamic loads.
- Applications: Bridges, highways, areas with vibration.
Serrated Steel Grating
- Construction: Bearing bars are rough top with anti skid features.
- Features: Excellent fatigue resistance, suitable for dynamic loads.
- Applications: Oil Industry, Lubrication Industry.
